Mixed Martial Arts Submissions

Beginners Guide to Mixed Martial Arts Training by Trevor Richardson
A great deal has altered following the early Mma or mixed martial arts times, the initial fans, you may remember Royce Gracie sweating in UFC 1, 2 and 3 wearing his BJJ GI’s, he did very well and was victorious three times, however there was no weight categories and fighters fought bare knuckled. It would be suicidal to fight nowadays in the UFC in BJJ GI!.
Nowadays not only a whole new set of rules have been introduced but also concerns to athlete’s safety has increased. The more brutish methods were made illegal and using the right gear like fingerless MMA gloves, groin guards as well as gumshields is now required.
MMA coaching has also changed and in my opinion is a martial art of its own, with many gyms and dojos across the world now offering individual Mixed Martial Arts preparation. MMA training incorporates the 5 fundamental techniques of MMA: striking, takedowns, sprawling, floor work, and submission holds.
MMA Coaching
To enroll in mixed martial arts coaching you’re not required to have a recognition of achievement in any martial art, you can start from scratch and generate each one of the foundations as coaching progresses. Participants who have obtained a degree in for example Brazilian Jiu Jitsu will sure have an advantage over newbies.
Mixed martial arts is amongst the most scientific and demanding activities at this moment so be ready for laborious training periods and a great deal of sacrifice to master it. Mixed martial arts sportsman aren’t regarded the ultimate contending machines without reason.
How to Start
Selection of your coaching location is the first and for me the most important step to take before you start your MMA training.
investigate, look at many gyms, and take your time.. i suggest you train at a few gyms for a while before making a decision.
Many will sugges going to top notch fighting teams, this is an ideal, but don’t worry if they are not apropriate to you..
Training Equipment
MMA does not require stacks and stacks of gear, but some are necessary. These equipments consist of what I like to call the start up kit. Anyone looking to begin MMA requires a groin-guard, a gumshield, training gloves(no need to go pro just yet) and some MMA shorts.
Training ground chosen and basic MMA equipment in hand it is time to see if you have what it takes to become an MMA fighter. The fighter’s psyche fundamentals are:
1. The Ability to Work through Pain
2. The Desire to Reach the Top
3. High Motivation Levels
4. Persistence
My final tip is “Keep focused and never give in”.
“For many the ground is the limit for us is just the beginning”
